This was Moncada's Sunday response when I asked him what he thought upon seeing Robert Jr. coming up injured: 'It’s complicated. It’s difficult. I’ve been through that. I know how they feel. Seeing them there is not a good feeling. It’s difficult. It’s definitely complicated.'

It's clearly not easy for these players, who work diligently to get to this level, stay at this level and produce at an elite level, only to deal with injuries costing them weeks, months at a time.

According to MLB.com research, done back on Feb. 19, the trio of Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert Jr. and Yoan Moncada had played together in 158 of 546 games since the debut of Robert Jr. in 2020 entering 2024 season. They played together in the first 3 in 2024.

White Sox placed third baseman Yoán Moncada on the 10-day injured list with a left adductor strain and recalled outfielder Oscar Colás from Triple-A Charlotte.

Moncada’s estimated recovery time is 3-to-6 months.
