Elated to leap into the American Physical Society Fellowship class of 2023! With a bow and boundless thanks to those those who taught and inspired my generation, and a booming 'ahoy!' to the next generation ready to set their own sails.
Welcome to our SQMS 2023 Intern class! Yesterday our friends Northwestern hosted the students for an intro event, tour and special seminar. Fermilab DOE Office of Science #QuantumComputing #STEM #internship
Honored to be appointed by Governor Governor JB Pritzker as a new member of the Illinois State Board of Education. Exciting leadership opportunity and will serve at best of my abilities Illinois State Board of Education
One of my favorite moments today: Angela Kou, Bill Fefferman, Luigi Frunzio, Yoni Kahn and Kasra Nowrouzi on a panel moderated by Eleanor Rieffel - day 1 at the 2022 SQMS annual meeting! SQMS Center
Thanks to Andrew Houck Andrew Houck, our fearless C2QA Director, (as well as all involved!) for making the past two days a productive, well-planned and fun annual meeting! Glad to be part of Co-design Center for Quantum Advantage (C2QA)!
Congratulations, Anna Grasselino, on this extraordinary achievement! @AGrassellino SQMS Center
In an experimental effort led by Jake Bryon and Andrew Houck, we show that care must be taken when modeling dynamics in the presence of time dependent flux. Simply taking flux -> flux(t) in your Hamiltonian is not enough!
Interested in low-frequency qubits like heavy fluxonium, and how to perform high-fidelity gates? Led by Daniel Weiss & joined by our Schuster friends David Schuster, we have a new preprint on a galvanic-coupling scheme for fluxonia based on non-RWA physics. arxiv.org/abs/2207.03971
Caught on the way back from Quantum Cavities: the GPS performing a position measurement of Andreas Wallraff as he was tunneling across the river. Thanks to Alexandre Alexandre Blais and Aash for making this the best workshop ever!
Very excited to be part of unitaryHACK for the first time! A huge thank you to Nathan Shammah and the entire Unitary Fund team! (Happy to connect with people interested in joining the scqubits bounty hunt, if there are questions.)
