"To all the governments of the world and supranational organizations,

Twitter Web App : The government’s decision to scrap the immigration health surcharge for NHS & care workers must be extended to EVERYONE.

We believe that NO ONE should be forced to pay a double tax because of where they’re from.

Twitter Web App : HMPPS is currently holding over 80,000 people in solitary confinement. twitter.com/hmpps/status/1…

Twitter Web App : ++ Two shipwrecks off Tunisian coast ++

According to local sources, two shipwrecks occurred last night:

One boat with 70 people on board capsized – fortunately all people were rescued.

A second boat with 20 people capsized. 6-8 people are missing, 1 body was so far recovered.

Twitter Web App : Very happy about removing the surcharge, but the 'deserving migrant' discourse is fucking strong with this one.

Twitter Web App : I know it's often well-meaning, but watching British people talk about migrants as "valuable" actually makes me sick. We are not here to bring value to your society, we just live here, like you do, and controlling our access to healthcare on the basis of our value is despicable.

Twitter Web App : Once it became politically expedient to do so, the British government was able to essentially solve homelessness overnight. Why then are the Home Office still citing such problems sourcing accommodation when denying bail to people stuck in immigration detention?

Twitter Web App : Whilst we welcome news that the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) will be scrapped for NHS and social care workers - WE MUST GO FURTHER ⬇️⬇️ 1/

Twitter Web App : BREAKING: Detention Action is bringing a fresh legal challenge against Government over immigration detention during #Covid_19. Home Office failed to publish its #Covid_19 detention policies & the list of countries it can't remove to, so here we go 👇

Twitter Web App : NEWS: Hugely disappointed to confirm that our clients’ challenge against #HomeOffice policy of paying detainees £1/hr to work in immigration detention was dismissed by Court of Appeal. We’re considering appeal to Supreme Ct. bailii.org/ew/cases/EWCA/… duncanlewis.co.uk/Reported_Case/…

Twitter Web App : "People in detention are understandably frightened and desperately worried about their health. Continuing with immigration detention at this time in particular is utterly irresponsible, cruel and unnecessary" BID independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n…

Twitter Web App : Vulnerable migrants are being left destitute because of the government's no recourse to public funds policy. We believe NRPF is abhorrent. It causes homelessness and extreme poverty by removing safety nets and creating structural inequality. bit.ly/36mw9tp
