On this day, June 6th, we remember the bravery and sacrifice of Canadian 🍁 and Allied troops who landed on Normandy beaches 79 years ago. We pay tribute to their heroic efforts on the anniversary of D-Day.

Pfc. Floyd Rogers of the 2nd Infantry Division during the Normandy Campaign.

At the time of this photo, he had received credit for killing 27 enemy snipers w/his BAR for which he received the Silver Star.
He was killed 2 weeks later, the day he mailed the award to his mom. 🪖
