Particular credit to Dr Críostóir Mac Cárthaigh (National Folklore Collection UCD) not only for stewarding the UCD side of this huge project but for his tireless work in making the National Folklore Collection what it is today, rightly taking its place on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.
It was a privilege to take part in the Irish Civil War Memory Project Project with National Folklore Collection UCD. An immense undertaking by all involved, it was certainly powerful viewing, showcasing the extent to which the civil war impacts people & communities to this very day.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with everyone on Irish Civil War Memory Project #TheSilentCivilWar . Such a brilliant team of documentary makers, folklorists, historians, researchers. Truly collaborative, cross-generational, and layered in its approach. Congratulations to all involved.

This was very interesting UCD History . The edited volume Conor Mulvagh and Emer Purcell really captures the life, interests, successes and failures of this fascinating polymath. Congrats also to Elva Johnston 🌻
