The #STCA gender-based plus analysis found 'an acknowledged risk that the Regulations may incentivize asylum claimants to try to enter Canada undetected, possibly leading them to seek assistance from human smugglers or taking dangerous routes to evade application of the STCA.'

She speaks about an uninsured patient mother she saw who required surgery after getting an ultrasound. The baby did not survive but mother did. The cuts would mean that this patient would not show up because she cannot afford the thousands of dollars of ultrasound and procedure.
