So we're using this year to invest more in local journalism. We hope our community will see the value and invest in us.

This is it. The make-or-break year for Peterborough Currents.

Just BTW: Dave Douglas, the city's diversions program manager, says Peterborough is now a top city in Canada for the amount of recyclables and organic waste diverted from the dump, now that we have the clear bags and the green bin program.

Monarchs & other butterflies need moisture but cannot land on water to drink. Instead, butterflies sip liquid from muddy soil. This behavior is known as puddling & not only provides moisture but also salts & other needed dissolved minerals. Wetlands provide this. #WorldWetlandDay
