Sad this is such an underwhelming end to one of the greatest eras under Klopp. But it’s a wake up call that we need to be more systematic and less emotional to compete and win on a regular basis.

Big performance tonight Reds. Whatever the outcome let’s end this season with a bang, not a whimper. Heavy metal football from the off. .

He won’t though. He’ll go full strength and heavy metal. Probs what he should have done tonight tbh.

This is what happens when you think you are destined to win. You can never write off , especially in Europe, but nothing is destined. You’ve got to work harder and be smarter - neither which we’ve done tonight.

Can’t get too drawn into analysing games at this stage. Bigger picture it’s made it harder to win the league but we are still bang in it. Win the rest which is very doable there is a very good chance will be Champions.

One game at a time. 3 points at a time. It’s all about winning. Nothing else matters! We are going into the run in almost back to full strength. Nothing to fear. Exactly where we want to be. .

If put all bets on one person for success post Klopp you may as well give up now. Whoever comes in has to fit into a team greater than the sum of its parts. Alonso isn’t the only option. Nobody is ever replacing Jurgen Klopp so let’s stop trying to.

Michael Edwards has proved himself a world class football strategist. It’s why he could have walked into any top club. He will help build into a club that can stay at the top even if you lose the best manager in world football. His lens is on the long term.

It’s amazing that anybody at City cares what or any club says about them. It almost feels like deep down they can see the disconnect between the size of the club and what it has achieved. Culture can’t be manufactured - there are just some things money can’t buy.

FSG understand there is no way you can replace Jurgen Klopp. The only way to come close is to get Strategy, Structure and System working in synergy and have the best people to create an off pitch team greater than the sum of its parts. Edwards leading this will be good for .

The beautiful irony in the fallout is that for a very long time any 50/50 call under Paul Tierney seems to have gone against us. If he has made a mistake it’s genuine and 99 times out of 100 nobody will care. Maybe don’t lost possession by your own box more relevant. .

It’s not like Tierney gave a dodgy penalty or free kick. Or there was anything wrong with the goal. He gave us possession in our own box. How that can equate to a monumental error is absolutely bananas. Maybe he thought Kelleher was fouled? Blown out of all proportion. .

Monumental? That’s chalking off a perfectly valid goal for no reason. A dropped ball that resulted in a goal at least 3-4 passages of play later is not monumental. Especially as the referee made the same ‘mistake’ in favour of Forest in the first half. .

The worst thing about this is almost every other fan base will spout the same nonsense. They don’t give a shit about how City win, as long as it’s not us. You can’t manufacture what makes special to its supporters - that seems to irk the football world.

Imagine every club hires a ‘referee analyst’ - it’d be carnage. How can you be objective when a club is paying your wages?

Over analysis of football is as bad as VAR. Why are we looking so hard to find a problem with goals? If it’s so obvious then fair enough - but something that happened 2 entire minutes before a goal just isn’t relevant. Gary Lineker .

Had Forest not had 2 players booked for time wasting in the 8 mins of injury time it wouldn’t have gone into minute 9 would it? And blaming a subjective decision 3-4 passages of play before the goal for losing is bananas. They lost possession too. It’s football. .

The whining and winging about decisions today is bonkers. It’s clutching at straws. Come back when you’ve had a legitimate goal ruled out by VAR for offside that lost you a game. And countless others that have gone against this season. You make your own luck.

He’s already doing it - but in the very near future Darwin Nunez is going to make a lot of people inc pundits and some of our own fans look very silly. He is on a trajectory to world class and you’ll see the narrative change soon enough. .
