Denial of Hazara genocide is not an issue of awareness. Genocide continues because a socio-political & economic system supports it. An acknowledgement of it threatens those systems & demands their dismantling. Denial is willful & based on economic & political calculations.

I'm sorry that even in solidarity with Hazaras, their ethnicity is concealed. Denial is the language used by terrorist groups against us. It's a simple truth, evidenced by history and thousands of documents, that Hazaras are targeted for genocide simply because they are Hazaras.

Concerning that UNAMA News does not explicitly acknowledge the identity of the victims as Hazara. By not highlighting this, it potentially diminishes the targeted nature of the attack against the Hazaras & obscures the specific vulnerabilities faced by this people in Afghanistan.

The ongoing genocide against the Hazara people persists in Afghanistan.
