In March, the #SantaCruzRiver team & University of Arizona interns partnered w/ Shining AZ, Tumacacori NHP & the Santa Cruz Valley National Heritage Alliance to tackle a 15-acre trash dam at Tumacácori. They removed 2 large dumpsters & collected information for ongoing trash studies. #SCR

The Sonoran Institute Delta team teamed with Todos Somos Mexicali and Colonia Misión del Angel residents for 'A Day for Mexicali,' at the North Collector Drain area, removing 220 lbs of waste with 23 volunteers!

During March, this Legacy Landscapes project broke ground! #GWS alumni City of Cheyenne, WY BOPU contracted w/ Blue Ribbon Lawn & Landscape to complete the conversion of Robert Burns Park from an irrigated turf to a low water design. Partly funded by a #GrowingWaterSmart TA grant.

Reconnecting the #ColoradoRiver to the sea: From Mar 21 - Oct 22, 2024, the MX & US gov'ts are releasing water under Minute 323 in the Delta at Chausse & other points. The approximately 6 months of released flow over 30 miles is projected to stretch to where the river meets tides
