Göran Syberg Falguera Paul Graham But the cookie warning serves no practical purpose and doesn't enhance ones data protection in any meaningful fashion. Well meaning or not, its only real purpose is an irritant. Good thinking. Bad implementation.

anton True, the best models will always need the cloud but we're only just kicking off... GPU prices will come down and models will get better. In 18 months the current landscape will have totally changed. Have hope! :)

Eliezer Yudkowsky ⏹️ Cmon Eliezer, we can definitely say they are not conscious.

YET.

I do agree though that noone knows when, how or if there is a threshold, that at some point, they may just 🌱 into life 🧬. Is there a prediction market for that?

Mark Sully Google DeepMind Google AI Because they knew 1.5 pro would be the better model overall I guess and probably will also charge for it. 1.0 pro will still be free, I guess.

Cesar Silva Mark Sully Google DeepMind Google AI Well they said 1.5 Pro uses less GPU than 1.0 Pro so I kind of doubt they’d purely paywall it. My guess is 1.5 Pro with smaller context will be free (maybe 128k but at least 32k) and charge for larger context.

Mark Sully Google DeepMind Google AI They do tend to keep shooting themselves in the foot, but also seems like even Google employees were surprised how fast 1.5 has gone into prod. Maybe the aim is to get the better stuff out before the 2 month free trial expires. This buys them time to test 1.5 a little more.

Mark anton Good luck. I get the impression he isn't actually using any of these models for anything more than something to tweet about to people who don't know better.

Mark Yes, that's a good point. But why does OpenAI make ChatGPT so much worse? Why not greatly increase the limits for GPT-4, improve the response speed and improve the design. Then I'm sure OpenAI would be back in the game.

The James Mark clearly I can't try *every* model but I do try many of them, the only thing you have been posting on my tweets is useless shit twitter.com/abacaj/status/…

Mark Tyrel This is pretty old, haha. It reappears on Twitter every couple of weeks. But we made use cases like this super easy to build
