I think I agree... but it wass one hell of a risk for Iran. I expected this would be Iran's calculation... but not with 300 missiles & drones. If just a small number of ballistic missiles had evaded Israeli defences & caused damage or death, we would be in a different world today

Why would someone who lives in the heart of the city care about a super highway being built on the fringes of the region?

Quality of life. Safe streets free from overwhelming traffic, and the noise and pollution that cars sitting in traffic brings.

The folks who will actually be better off as a result of carbon pricing are protesting something they haven’t quite read up on yet.

Note the careful “hope it gets built” wording in the article. I would probably say the same thing. I certainly hope this is not an attempt to up-zone only in order to increase the property value without any actual intent to build.

I think about this every time I pass the wind turbines.

Good policy doesn’t have to be popular but it does need politicians who are brave enough not to fall prey to populism.
