This afternoon I had the opportunity with members of the Northern Ireland Assembly Justice Committee to visit the Belfast Remote Evidence Centre a very important service for vulnerable witnesses children young people and adults.

On Monday, the Minister for Communities announced he would be bringing forward a law that would allow those in defective buildings 30 years to bring forward legal action, rather than the current 6 years, bringing Northern Ireland in line with the rest of the UK.

These people refused in Parliament today to block victims of modern slavery from being deported to Rwanda, they are a disgrace to the proud anti slavery reputation of Northern Ireland !

Today I asked the Minister of Health about his plans to implement the Northern Ireland Cancer Strategy. Despite being launched by the Minister in 2020, four years on we are no further forward. I urge the Minister to find the funds for this vital, lifesaving strategy.
