A day of light cloud and occasional sunshine, so not exactly #solarPV heaven. I have charged my car, done two lots of washing and generally 'run' the house. The batteries are 60% full and the whole day so far has cost me about £1.30 including standing charge.

This picture has the original white Narcissus in it too, planted back when I was thinking of keeping the border all white and 'tasteful'. The Imperial frits changed all that overnight.

I've been building on this colour theme for a while under the white birches. The Orange fritillaries were first, then then orange centred Narcissus, then the two yellow tulips (Cistula and Vancouver). It grows on me every year. Going for it big style next year.

Sue Beesley Department for Work and Pensions I want to know how much money was SAVED on carers during that time. 4 visits a day from 2014 to 2021. The lady's £16k capital would have been disregarded when assessing her ability to pay. It's just awful.

This is completely outrageous. The line that got me was that she was disqualified from legal aid on the grounds that she had the small inheritance that Department for Work and Pensions were in the process of seizing... My OH has bought an electric van. It's quieter, quicker, as roomy, and much more comfortable than his old one. We have calculated that his old van cost 16p a mile in diesel. The new can costs 2p/mile, charged overnight on Octopus Energy Go.

Re the border inspection charges being brought in this month for animal and plant imports. Defra UK says they've been fairly set to cover the inspection costs. But it's yet another new, steep import barrier to overcome. There are going to be shortages in shops, aren't there?
