Good luck to The QT - adfree #NorthEast journalism - which launched this week.
I wish it every success and I'm delighted they ran my take on Sunderland AFC's green transition ambitions.

The #tweed has it. The tweed has it!
Nice selfie Nick Barnes on a day when the clouds, (at least metaphorically), lifted a little at the Stadium of Light.
A good weekend for Sunderland AFC and #safc fans.
Thoroughly enjoyed being briefly back on the Sunderland AFC beat, meeting Colin White and chatting to 'old' friend Nick Barnes for the BBC Sport Tyne & Wear podcast.
I wore #tweed in his honour, so I was disappointed to see him letting his sartorial standards slip!π

As a reporter at the Sunderland Echo in the 90s, I had the privilege of covering the great Indian summer of Billy Hardy's pro #boxing career.
Looking forward to reliving those fights and the many more that led up to them at The Fire Station.
Looking forward to a bit of this - Billy's always good value. π

Away from footy... I'm researching an article into pubs in the #NorthEast that have used #renewables to cut energy bills. Does anybody know of any? Could be solar panels, air source or ground source heat pumps. Might even be hydro-power! Reply or message me. Thanks.
