Just received the first copies of 'Massacre in the Clouds' - by far the hardest book I've worked on. It uncovers the story of the Bud Dajo Massacre through a single photograph and as such the book itself can be considered a 100.000-word caption.

Investigative work into the historic indoor long jump here, has revealed its earth and sand infill is still present, and usable. The hinged floor folds back to reveal the pit, which was built c.1876.

This is the only known indoor 19th century long jump in Ireland #Limerick

A new book from History at MIC's Dr Brian Hughes charts the story of Limerick's Protestant communities during the Irish revolutionary period.

It's published as part of a collaboration with Limerick Council - Comhairle Luimnigh as part of their Decade of Centenaries events.
