On March 24, Dr. Nakita Mortimer (right), a Haitian-American anesthesiologist trainee at Montefiore Medical Center, took her own life. I came across her friend’s, Dr. Rehema, post on Insta where I got to learn a bit about Nakita. She was loved and did so much in so little time.

It's not that difficult to notice many details about people's health just by observation of movement. My anesthesiologist gpa (and many drs, acupuncturists, etc) could dx many internal diseases from the park bench.

So I’ve been disputing a medical bill for a few yrs. And it’s finally been cleared! Not only was the $ ridiculous - it was the fact that the ANESTHESIOLOGIST who increased my anesthesia during my last c-section (b/c I could literally FEEL them cutting me) was “out of network” 🫠
