This VW driver was captured close passing a cyclist near #Skipton and receives 'positive action' from North Yorkshire Police #OpSnap . What that means, who knows. Could just be a warning letter. Appropriate response?

Nearly one thousand cyclists have been given fixed penalty notices since we introduced our Cycle Response Unit.

Since the team was formed 9 months ago, 944 fixed penalty notices have been issued, which include going through red lights or putting themselves & pedestrians at risk.

This BMW driver was convinced he didn't #ClosePass . The police thought otherwise. Passing closer than 1.5m up to 30mph can be deemed as driving without due care and attention and can attract a course, fines and points or court.
Avoid the hassle and give cyclists space.
