The simplest way to fix the income tax code (Other than change to a consumption tax which will never happen)

If the United States were a serious country, it'd be:

• incentivizing births with 0% property tax after 4 kids
• subsidizing single-family home construction
• laying off 70% of government employees
• allowing free-floating interest rates
• slashing income tax to 0%

So you pay 40% income tax, then after ‘wealth survey’ half your wealth will be taken away and then when you die another 55% will be taken away. I hope the percentages are only of the residual value - otherwise we will all have to take a loan before dying.
