The gov increased min wage of RM1.5k, but this policy didn’t include interns.

Interns are unprotected by the employment act in Malaysia, hence the risk of exploitation by companies.

my internship gave me RM1.8k allowance + you get converted to a full-time employee + be involved in all company events... its really not that hard to treat your interns well. if you can't afford interns, don't hire them. bukannya hire unpaid interns for free labour 🤷🏻‍♀️
