The Graveney's river bed is grey, banks strewn with sanitary waste. This flows to the Wandle on the left. Chalk streams. 158 overflows last year.

Put the Government under pressure & call for tougher sewer overflow permits.
We want a threshold of 40 spills a year.
More than that & the overflow is then classed as 'unsatisfactory'.
Currently there are no limits.

The Roding is London's 3rd largest river, but has one of the highest concentrations of sewer overflows.
It looks like the infrastructure is buckling but Thames Water won't tell us if their sewers can't cope.
