Makueni First Lady First Lady Makueni County visits 40 women and girls recuperating at the Mother and Child Hospital, Wote, after successful fistula corrective surgeries. Makueni is hosting this year's International Day to End Obstetric Fistula, observed annually on May 23rd.

Obstructed labour is one of the leading causes of maternal death and obstetric fistula.
