All rhinos studied were C3 feeders, whether browser or mix-feeders, but we noted a clear shit in their isotopic signal during the latest Oligocene consistent with the global changes of the time!

From Late Oligocene Sarmiento Formation, and potentially the Agua De La Piedra Formation, Argentina, 'Andrew's bird' is a large phorusrhacid 'Terror Bird'. It differs from the similar Phorusrhacos in having a flatter skull and slimmer jaw.

Also I don't care if scientists agree with this or not, hyenas definitely are direct descendants of all those eocene / myocene / oligocene 'is it a wolf, is it a lion or is it a bear?' species. Shout out to those goofy goobers (in a positive way).

πŸ” Meet the Palaeotherium, a fascinating extinct beast from the Eocene to the earliest Oligocene era! 🌍 This creature, first described by French naturalist Georges Cuvier in 1800s, was one of the first Paleogene mammals to be identified.

I just wanna point out that you can realistically draw these two (Otodus and Hexanchus) interacting since the Hex would only be too happy to chow down on Megfalls in the abyss. I mean Hex was eating dead Oligocene megatooths in Australian deposits (best Otodus angustidens)
