Every FY, we have unspent warrants that are bigger than the supplementary budgets. That simply means that the supplementary budgets can be absorbed in the original budget as per PFMA, 2015 as amended. We need to improve the budget absorption efficiency.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Richard 'Dick' Redner of Redner's Markets, a longtime member of the PFMA. Dick was a tremendous advocate for the food industry and previously served on the PFMA board. He will be missed.

Pierre de Vos ⚖️ The problem lies with the PFMA and PPPFA. These Acts do not have a for price reasonability. The evaluation and adjudication committee members must only choose the lowest cost submitted bid. This has nothing to do with whether that bid is priced reasonably
