Cleaned out a watering hole and disturbed this eel - luckily he can go and settle in our fancy new rewiggled stream

Many rivers have been altered into straight channels causing floods. Today rivers are now being ‘rewiggled ‘ and returned to a more natural state and this often requires hundreds of faggots and stakes.

When the 2022 ReWiggled album drops

As of today, I have completed Pocket Squirm: Rewiggled.

4 years is a long time to be out of the 'game-making game' so it's a smaller scale project to get me warmed up. I'm just waiting for a few things. Right now, it's all at the mercy of Google.

Post 3 Changing Weather Patterns
Now back in its historic channel, the Og is more resilient to more extreme weather patterns.
Rewiggled rivers, like our Og project slow the flow through the catchment.
The ecological benefits are already evident, look at the lapwing !!!

This is what many more miles of Scotland's watercourses could look like. This previously straightened channel on the Eddleston Water, has been rewiggled to restore its natural meanders, creating better conditions for salmon & reducing the potential for flooding.

Shaping up a new rewiggled section of chalkstream using floodplain gravel berms topped with floodplain turves, while creating a wetland scrape. What's not to like?

On #WorldRiversDay , I thought I'd share an image of a section of straightened ditch we had 'rewiggled' last year to add complexity to its course, and help relieve seasonal flooding. It's a tiny contribution to a growing number of exciting river projects in the UK. #northwoods
