The storm appears to have cycled as it moved near or over Gering. There are two areas of rotation now. It is moving east of Scottsbluff now.

EMERGENCY for Gering and Scottsbluff. Very dangerous situation - you need to get to shelters now, underground if possible. Get a helmet on to protect yourself.

Mexico has been suffering through one of its worst heatwaves in its history for the last 7+ days and it shows no sign of letting up over the next week as a relentless heat dome stays parked overhead.

Northern Mexico could soar as high as 50°C (122°F) over the next few days.

Now is not the time to head home from work if you have to go through the southern metro. This very dangerous storm is producing hail at least the size of baseballs. That will do significant vehicle damage.

This continues the trend of a record hot North Atlantic as previous record high ocean temperature records continue to get shattered.

At a global level, no ocean basin is seeing such widespread and intense marine heatwaves as the North Atlantic.

This large and very dangerous is currently near the Hawk Springs Recreational Area so there could be many people vulnerable on this Friday evening. Scottsbluff and Gering are next in line if it holds up.

As the old circulation dissipates, a new circulation has taken over. An intense could touch down again at any time as it moves through the North Platte River Valley.

This is bad. A large and dangerous over a heavily populated metropolitan area. Stay in shelter if you are in the southeast metro!

A ~4,000 mile long stretch of severe marine heatwave conditions extends all the way from the coastal waters off of West Africa to the coastal waters just south of Iceland.

We are witnessing one of the most extreme marine heatwave events ever recorded in modern history.

1.34 million views? Are you kidding me? I never dreamed even in 20 years I would get that much, let alone in one spring season.

I've got big plans for it, but still working out loose ends. The fact it has national attention is rewarding, but it also shows where real gaps are.

Surreal experience above the clouds yesterday on Mauna Kea in Hawaii, the tallest mountain in the world from sea floor to base peak at more than 33,500 feet!

Seeing snow in the tropics the day before the Summer Solstice was also unreal.
