Photos showing eclipse were taken during the over three minutes at totality we got because we went to Tignish shore. Utterly gorgeous place to watch the eclipse. The kids loved it (except Maisie, who was very worried about damaging her eyes.)

Extremely cool experience.

Prince Edward Island used to have a railway that ran from tip-to-tip, from Tignish in the west to Elmira in the east.

There was even a train ferry in Borden that would take you to New Brunswick!

Wandering in an antique store and I picked up this cute book. Opened a random page and my grandfather Gerald is in it! Socialist and Tignish icon.

Tignish Elementary welcomed a surprise guest as the Grinch himself paid a visit. With Max, his loyal canine companion, and Cindy Lou Who in tow, they joined the students around the towering Christmas tree. Together, they sang carols and found a place in his heart Tignish.

The Tignish co-op had a seniors-only pajama party which featured a pancake breakfast for supper. They really are so elite.
