Today is the National Veterans’ Day in Finland.

We raise our flag in honour of those who fought for the Finland's freedom against the Soviet invaders.

Those men made the Finland we live in possible.

Honor and thanks to the veterans of our wars!

Today Finland celebrates National Veterans Day. We thank and honor the war veterans and wartime generations who saved our independence from Soviet attack 1939-1945. 🇫🇮

Today, on National Veterans’ Day, we raise the flag in honour of war veterans. 🇫🇮

Their generations laid a strong foundation for the society we live in today.

The day is observed on 27 April, the day the Lapland War ended 79 years ago.
