Giving this F150 to my Son Tues. I bought it new in 03. 4.2 V6 5sp. Still gets 2nd gear rubber. Only replaced 2 items in 20 years. Alternator and slave cylinder for clutch. Both after 100K miles

Alternator is gone ffs

After a lengthy battle given it's location at the bottom rear of the engine partly blocked by the oil sump and subframe, I've finally managed to remove the Avanzato's alternator to send it for repair.

Question is, will I be able to then get it back in 😬

It would seem that the pugs electrical issue is being caused by a weak alternator. That's a very low voltage with the AC going!
