West Byfleet's countless humps and hollows make for an delightful golfing playground.

Last years investment in the seating on the terrace provided a big improvement. Now we just need the weather to play ball so we can get the most out of it this summer.

And that is Weybridge. Had a good day there, it’s a good station but not as great as West Byfleet & Byfleet & New Haw. But it was decent station. Saw some good stuff there. Now time to head back to Portsmouth.

West Byfleet ✅

An unusual Tuesday outing for me as I was needed in Surrey on corporate business, so I took the opportunity to tick off this station while I was at it, because rail services just happened to work perfectly.

455857 and 455908 arrive into Byfleet & New Haw working 2F44 up to Waterloo. Quickly hopped over here from Weybridge on 2F37 to see 458417 and 458407 on 5Q97 and now heading up to Walton-on-Thames to tick it off and change for Woking.

A points failure at West Byfleet has meant that the journey home won’t be as relaxed as first hoped! Instead of 1A61, I’m now onboard 444029 which is preparing to work 1P63 down to Pompey, and hopefully we’ll arrive into Guildford in good time for me to change onto the Farnham.

Focussed tree management work has allowed the majesty of the bigger and healthier ones to really shine.

455733 and 455905 arrive into West Byfleet working 2F36 up to Waterloo. Got some good shots just then and thankfully 5Q95 was running a few minutes early allowing me to get this service. Should be in Clapham in around half hour.
