Divorced from all context, this is a truly exceptional film. Atmospheric and intense, it's a real tour de force, and under different circumstances, it may well have become known as one of the best indie horror films of all time.

南会津郡(下郷町、南会津町、只見町、檜枝岐村)の面積は神奈川県とほぼ同じ。
だけど人口は2万ちょいだから神奈川県の400分の1以下。人混みに疲れたらおいで、冬以外はいい場所だよ。

Truly, the only bad thing about this film is it's frankly obscene use of AI 'art' for literally every graphic. For a film that seemingly prides itself on a low-budget, home-spun image, a decision like that is just inexcusable.
