LAST DAY! Hopefully, this won't be the last day for living . The primary reason for their decline is due to because their shells are so uniquely, beautiful.

last day! Two together (although I hate that term...), the and dining on raw chicken in the Philippines. This record also shows another occurrence of nautilus not attempting to eat live prey.

My Firefly Squid 🦑 linocut for !

This is the firefly squid (Watasenia scintillans), also called sparkling enope squid or hotaru-ika in Japan. These tiny squid live at depth (200 to 400 m) & are bioluminescent & emit blue light from photophores.

Did you know that the Ram’s Horn Squid, Spirula spirula, was filmed alive for the first time less than 3 years ago?! This deep-sea squid uses its internal shell for buoyancy and can emit a green light from its mantle

Say hello to a cephalopod you should know—the corkscrew squid, Planctoteuthis danae.

This deep-sea squid has an ornate tail, the function of which is unknown. Other squids in the family Chiroteuthidae have ornate tails as juveniles, but lose them as adults.

It's ! 🥳🐙
Perfect time to introduce you to our newest octopus, Goji. Goji is a giant Pacific octopus, which is the largest species of octopus. She is only 10 pounds, but will likely grow to be over 50! Stop by to see her in our Northern Pacific Gallery.
