Day 2 of our Thames source-to-sea hike saw us hike 22.2kms from Cricklade to Kelmscott. We have reached the point of feeling like we have aged a decade in a day, and are wondering why we are doing this to ourselves. Or we were until we found ourselves in a field of cows literally

Reds and the On-Call attended a house fire in #Cricklade this morning. Extinguished using hose reel jets and BA. Shows how shutting the door on the fire meant that the rest of the house only suffered minor smoke damage #heroes

Cricklade North meadow, best display of Snakehead fritillary in the UK, and its eluded me again, live near it for 10 years and never did see them in flower. Closed to due to flooding. Did see some loverly creeping buttercup and these old Willow pollards a fear of the upper thames

Lovely walk on Thames Path National Trail from #Ashtonkeynes to #castleeaton 10 miles altogether. Pretty firm under foot apart from one small section near Cricklade that was still flooded
