A Red Crossbill was spotted by Colin Palethorpe at Lafayette Park (SF Co.).

Great day's twitching yesterday with Peter Stanfield and Dave Hall, with the Hartlepool Junco showing beautifully before a trip to Wykeham. Dipped Gos but got crippling views of Crossbill. Also Marsh Tit near Wykeham and Red Kite from the car. Dark-eyed Junco ✅️

Incredible views of Crossbill today in the Forest of Dean during the ZEISS x Clifton Camera guided walks.
The Forest was littered with these guys along with an impressive flock of 70+ Lesser Redpoll, several Firecrests & singing Redstart.

A cracking day in the Forest of Dean with Naturetrek. Super views of Pied Flycatchers, Redstarts, at least 20 Crossbill with some feeding close to us, still a flock of around 80 Lesser Redpoll, Tree Pipit, Firecrest, Dipper and lots more 🙌 #Glosbirds

The best birds of the day, my 2nd ever Golden Oriole in the Triangle and a Crossbill heading south over Canal Scrape were fleeting but some of the 18 Green Hairstreak butterflies (minimum) seen across the Spurn peninsula were much more obliging. #spurnbirds Spurn Bird Observatory
