The comments on this Jacobin piece — which complains that academic “decoloniality” discourse is mostly puffed up pseudo-radicalism — are absolutely wild lol.

Scholars of 'decoloniality' and Zionists have come to a mutual understanding that Israel fits into a legacy of Western European imperialism by pretending that Arabs are kind of black and Jews are kind of white. I find this unconvincing.

Lastly, this is some Communist Goobledygook but it made me laugh. Stephen Sheehi says that lazy white capitalist who are used to privilege want a cleaning product that they can also put on spaghetti and that is not what decoloniality is.

How does this man have a job?

Yesterday, at UNIZULU, Adv Muzi Sikhakhane SC posited that the three arms of the state are compromised.

The full link of his address on the urgent imperative of decoloniality is posted here.

While decoloniality is a made up discipline for lefties who find basic math too hard, the colonialism cheerleaders are their mirror image who apparently can neither understand math nor history.

Is it decoloniality or re-coloniality of applied linguistics that we are engaging with? What decolonialities are possible to account for the Global South(s) and their varying degrees of colonizability?

In this article we grapple with these questions and others🙂

There's an intense irony in 'post-colonialism' and 'decoloniality', in that the philosophical frameworks of the colonized (like Iqbal for example) are often irrelevant and marginalized by post-colonial theory, while the frameworks based in largely western theories (like marx for…

Decolonisation in education is a must, it would help people carry the right understanding and attitudes towards historic and present colonial structures, hard and soft. From foundation phase all the way to MBA - there has to be an element of decoloniality. We cannot afford to…

We can't talk about 'decoloniality' without acknowledging the ways in which the spaces we produce knowledge in are complicit in perpetuating settler colonial brutality in Palestine. We need to dismantle the material structures that sustain that violence. I’m hopeful that we can.
