James Christian Parsons Truly horrifying. I always thought everyone on 'our side' understood sarcasm/snark/irony dialects. Seems we have our share of dimwitted/humourless/didacts.

Veer व्यासोन्मुखः 1) There is no such language as Rajasthani. 2) Mehsani and Kathiawari aren’t separate languages but dialects of Gujarati. 3) Wagadi is much closer to Mehsani than Mewadi. For instance A Mehsani can almost mistake following video for their dialect.

on that note, always get pretty annoyed when ppl say that our BD dialects emerged from SCB instead of in parallel (weirdly happens more often than one’d think), at least under the sadhubhasha standard it would be slightly more accurate

On average, Texas’s charter schools reclassify English learners as fully English proficient more quickly than the state’s traditional public schools. Is this a good thing?

matt 🍍 especially surprised that this isn’t the case in BD considering how much it prides itself on language (haven’t been thru that education system myself so take w a grain of salt), the common usage of শুদ্ধ (pure) and অশুদ্ধ (impure) to describe speech is pretty meh

These dialects developed from the Tonga. Tsonga people descend from Tonga found in eastern countries from north to southern Africa. Traditional similarities are there although the languages differ since Xitsonga is also influenced by other groups such as Nguni, Venda, and Sotho.
