So nice I made it twice!

Tonight's meal was something of a remix of last night's flavors. I baked up some salmon & cauliflower, seasoned with Old Bay. Drank a delectable Ayinger Oktoberfest marzen alongside. One of the better German festbiers I've tasted.

It’s reflected in the beer too, probably the most diverse time of year! You’ll see summer berry sours & light crisp pales alongside malty Märzens & Festbiers backed up with the first arrivals of dark stuff

All six official Oktoberfest beers on the shelves plus plenty of festbiers.

We have also had plenty of incredible craft beers arrive this week from 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇸🇪🇫🇷.

Over 125 different German beers and over 300 different craft beers from the Uk, Europe & USA

The closest beer in the Lidl box to a straight Pilsner. A cleaner flavour than the festbiers, less grainy, dryish & with a slightly more grassy hoppiness. Cracking stuff.

Festbier from Regensburg in a glass I bought from Regensburg in 1999. Much the same as several of the other festbiers; malt-sweet, big bodied, gentle peppery hops. That'll do nicely.

Least festbiery of the festbiers & a refreshing change from all those ever-so-slightly different 6% malty beers. It's an ever-so-slightly different Schneider Weisse beer.
