In April 1937, girl members of the Hitler Youth Movement attended an annual camp at Godshill near Fordingbridge in the New Forest.

The event was to help promote Anglo-German friendship, with English girls attending the reverse trip in Germany.

My final day at Ventnor Fringe was was topped off by meeting (and interviewing) the legendary Richard K Herring and seeing his very funny stand up show. Richard told me he enjoyed an IOW must-see, Godshill Model Village.
