Time for a thread ......all about Homefield Rd.

Where?

A residential street in Heavitree, Exeter, where the story of the Heavitree & Whipton 'LTN' begins.

The magnificent United Reformed Church sits where Homefield meets Fore Street

Paul brown Quite a lot has changed since Heavitree streets were planned.

Look at what has changed just since 1993. Traffic up 30% with no consultation

Do we just ignore & let streets get busier, lives ruined by collisions, more congestion, loss of productivity, more inactive lives?

Exeter's controversial Low Traffic Neighbourhood trial could have its effects in wards like Whipton, Heavitree, St Loyes and Priory, where it has been a hot topic

Pub 2788, Royal Oak, Heavitree, Exeter. Ahhhh, much more like it. Tiled corridor, multi rooms, hi vissers, warm temperature, carpet thin but ok like the Otter, Memories by Elvis & other ‘hits’ , men with yellow teeth smile like chimps, solid panelling, shiny whisky mirrors.

We think SUDS/ rain gardens could be great at Heavitree Bridge/Honiton Rd/SBL area to relieve road surface flooding.

Plenty of space, help the roads & sewers actually work in heavy rain & look great.

That's the kind of 💩 issue we want our Cllrs to be interested in.

How about you actually bring back route D to Digby in your next timetable changes for Exeter.

Not everyone can get a bus from Heavitree and then get off in town and get the I or the J or the H bus.

Not everyone In Rifford Road can walk to get a H either.

Clyst 4-1 Heavitree

Im back, with another 3 points for the Clyst!

A dominant display aided by Ronald McDonald getting a red card early in the 2nd half which allowed us to kill the game. We go again Wednesday 🫡

It's just 10 days until the consultation closes on the Heavitree and Whipton Active Streets Trial. All views are welcome - you don't have to live in the area. If you cycle through the area and are enjoying quieter streets, let the Transport team know.

Straight up misinformation on Any Questions? today. On the topic of LTNs someone said there was an block at the top of Magdalen Road, that's just false.
The road has been made one way at the bottom, but going round the Vue and up Heavitree Road is far from being a big detour.

Miles Davis Well done Lucy an absolutely fabulous result. First election in Heavitree after the LTN was Introduced and a 48% turnout. The electorate is saying something!

Paul brown 🍓🥦TheGrocerOnTheGreen🥕🍏 We think it very plausible that development in East Devon has (& will) contribute significantly to traffic levels on the Heavitree corridor. That needs proper evaluation.

People needs homes, but car centric development has driven Exeter in wrong direction.
