We have an epidemic of narcissistic parents (NP) raising children. Not because they’re bad people or because (most) plan on hurting their children, but because they’re highly emotionally immature and view children as a way to get their own needs met.

Narcissism comes from a lack of emotional development in childhood. If you look at narcissistic behaviors, they’re ego centric and emotionally immature— they mirror the developmental period from age 3-7. Many people don’t mature beyond this.
