My 2nd project is out in NatureStructMolBiol ! Following up the SUMO-RNF4 paper, from studying the replication-independent DPC repair, we identified TOPORS as a novel SUMO-targeted ubiquitin ligase, with SUMO1-binding preference. Thanks all in Niels Mailand Lab

Finally, through fractionation experiments, we show that Btn2-SUMO opposes K48-Ubiquitin chain buildup in the MMS-induced insoluble proteome when Apj1 is absent. Additionally, we highlight the Slx5/8 complex as the primary E3 ligase for the Apj1-degradation pathway! (8/10)
