Imagine if CBS didn't suck and NuTrek did a prequel miniseries for VOY 'Distant Origin' that played like the series finale of Jim Henson's 'Dinosaurs' crossed with Interstellar.

I’m going to stand by my opinion that The Orville is the actual spiritual successor than any of that shit from NuTrek. You can select any random episode from Discovery and it won’t hold a candle to any random Orville episode.

I disagree, for me all of the space battles still hold up because they are the end results of all the political scheming and they don’t look as stylized as space war content like nuTrek.

So, the spider did magic and it brought the Discovery into the past to the point where before the ship is launched for some reason. I hate this NuTrek trope where the ships are built on the planet instead of in orbit.
