I have really bad news, friends.

I’m heartbroken to share that Luthien has lymphoma. She has maybe a year to live, possibly less. Palliative care should keep her comfortable for a while.

HE Adeleke is the most workers friendly Governor in the history of Osun state. He is currently paying workers two to three salaries every month, and even some do get four alerts in a month. He is paying the minimum wage, palliative wage, 2016 salary, and some other bonuses.

Sadly my experience with palliative care for my late husband was non- existent. Ten years on it still haunts me that he was forced to suffer unnecessarily. Skilled palliative care should be a patient’s right.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that long time Ottawa City Councillor Diane Deans has entered palliative care after a 5 year battle with ovarian cancer.

Diane Deans was just not my City Council colleague. She's a friend. I have never met anyone whose moral compass was so straight, her work ethic so strong and showed us women belonged at the council table. Even in palliative care she continues to inspire with her bravery.

I am honoured to have been awarded an NIHR Research Doctoral Fellowship to continue my work around implementation of ICU palliative care with University of Hull @WolfsonPallCare.

I am now looking to build a PPI panel to advise and support the project.
