We @scdps_tz are striving for zero fatalities. @stp_cro and @schp_troop2 were working with Saluda High School the past two days and we had a lot of fun. The message was if you find yourself in a compromised situation pick up that 📱 and call your “ride or die”!

Today I was Lexington High School with Corporal A.S May with some of the Freshman and Sophomore classes.

They got to experience how impaired driving, distracted driving, and speeding affects your ability to drive.

Motorcyclists are encouraged to obey speed limits, drive defensively, and wear protective gear.

Motorists along I-26, I-85 and I-95 will see additional enforcement over the next few days by the SC State Transport Police as part of Operation SafeDRIVE, an enforcement effort geared toward reducing commercial motor vehicle collisions and unsafe driving behaviors.

Drivers — watch for bicyclists & keep a safe distance as you pass a cyclist.
