Epitaffio di Sèikilos. Canzone popolare greca del II/ III secolo avanti Cristo. “ Finché vivi, mostrati al mondo,
non affliggerti per niente:
la vita dura poco.
Il tempo esige infine il suo tributo.”

i was listening to the Epitaph of Seikilos (oldest preserved Greek song, written on a tombstone) and heard the word ζῆν (zen, translated as life) and was curious to know if it had any connection to the word zindegi (life in persian + hindustani) & apparently they go to gʷeyh₃

La canción (completa) más antigua de la que se tiene rastro es el llamado 'Epitafio de Seikilos'. Fue compuesta por un tal Seikilos para su esposa Euterpe. Seikilos colocó sobre la tumba de su amada Euterpe una columna de mármol, en la que talló la letra y la notación músical.
