The Booster Quick Disconnect (BQD) has been one of the most difficult Starship-related items to model due to its geometric complexity. The BQD operates primarily using only 2 pistons at the base of the structure to push or pull on the parallel frames which

Depending on how IFT-4 goes, I actually think the first catch of a Superheavy AND landing of a Starship on a droneship offshore by the end of 2024 are very doable

Optimistic? Yes. Going to happen? Probably not. But we need to see how Booster and Ship recovery go during IFT-4

Getting reports from multiple people now of “particulates” raining down in areas of Port Isabel after the nearby explosion of the SpaceX rocket stack Starship/Superheavy, 4 minutes after liftoff this morning from Boca Chica in the Rio Grande Valley.

The starship superheavy bidet performs the first flawless flight test (that's the hope) with flight 4.

Perfect ascent of booster 11
Perfect stage separation
Perfect boostback and boost phase of ship 29
A nominal descent of booster and landing
Perfect Ship reentry and splashdown

I’m really anxious about the outcome of IFT-4. Seriously hope it doesn’t start spinning after SECO. Seriously hope it actually makes it through reentry somehow. And most of all - that neither Starship nor Superheavy explode on ascent

The sheer size of the SpaceX Starship/SuperHeavy stack.

At 120 meters (390 feet) in height and with a liftoff mass of 5,000 metric tons (11,000,000 pounds), Starship is the largest and most powerful rocket ever built and flown.

Humans for scale.

It's in the very stages of design, but I may have started a 1:160 Superheavy. Don't expect much from this for a while, but hoping to be able to share more in the coming weeks/months!

We all love explosions, so here's the blueprint version!
This weeks technical style drawing is based on the Superheavy Booster grid fin. People requested the traditional blue and white style last time, so I thought I'd give it a try... what do you think?

If people understood how good the driving experience is with a Tesla, they'd never be able to build enough at any price. My trip to Texas to see SpaceX's SuperHeavy/Starship initial launch was my first time driving a Tesla Model Y for an extended trip.

I drove 1500 miles

Después de completar exitosamente el WDR, la s29 está siendo bajada del Superheavy b11!!!
Seguramente a la zona de producción por unos días para los últimos arreglos en el escudo térmico y para que los trabajadores de le pinten los números de serie!!!
