The BC Wildfire Service, taking advantage of current conditions, conducted a planned ignition on the Donnie Creek wildfire (G80280) extending over 30km and burrning around 10,000ha, solidifying containment lines and limiting further growth to the south.

No lie, this program definitely allowed me to maintain my fitness levels for my wildland firefighter quals. Even on the times I was only half-assing it 😅. AND managed to keep on enough muscle to not go all the way back down to 119 which I struggled to get above for years.
