I thought that Germany had learned their lesson regarding their desastrous foreign policy & applauded the Zeitenwende but as it seems they’re still on the wrong path regarding the islamic Republic.

✅With 132 to 59 votes, the Swiss National Council voted in favour of decommisioning 25 Leopard 2 tanks from its army. A vital step before they can be sold back to German manufacturer Rheinmetall. The decision has to be confirmed by Council of States.

So much debate is wasted on why DE only partially implements Zeitenwende (spoiler: b/c incentives haven't changed and sec order has proven resilient in the East). QMV in foreign/sec policy is way more important for European security and US/EU and US/DE relations in particular.

Next public step in push for QMV in CFSP in a - very carefully - worded oped by seven EU foreign ministers (🇩🇪🇧🇪🇱🇺🇳🇱🇷🇴🇸🇮🇪🇸).
