Imp qns re. use of research evidence in schools, but unfortunate that paper linked to in support of claim that 'reading abilities have not changed much in UK' seems to be based on 15-20 yr old data. Reference to uk rather than England also problematic given the argyment's target.

I think that Jonathan Haidt should be robustly challenged on his ideas like anyone else but I think it's important that as he says there should be an alternative explanation that is robust too. And I don't mean 'insert personal political issues concerning adults here' instead.
