Eclipse.

Millennium park is full of people who came here, simply, to look at the sky. People left their offices, brought their families, just to look upward. there’s nothing more poetic than that. We should do this more often.

personally i love when people experience communal awe and delight of natural phenomena

thinking of many things today but in particular about eclipses: how prisoners are kept from seeing this current eclipse. about roles eclipses have played spiritually in uprisings throughout history. how witnessing an eclipse gave Nat Turner the sign he needed to begin his revolt.
